For this residency, Strickland will develop the physical score for A Study on the Weight of Blackness (Unveils) the Resilience of Being Black, merging years of movement research with vocal exploration. She will also experiment with transforming natural materials she’s collected into sculptural elements, deepening the piece's multidimensional narrative.
